Mohammed Siraj showcased an exceptional performance in the first six overs of the match. He took a five-wicket haul during this period, leaving Sri Lanka struggling. Jasprit Bumrah also contributed by taking a wicket early on. Siraj continued to dominate, stunning the opposition with four wickets in just one over. In his second over, Siraj dismissed Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka, completing his remarkable five-wicket haul. This left Sri Lanka reeling at 12/6 in just 5.4 overs. The nightmare continued for the home side as Siraj went on to achieve incredible figures of 6/21, making it the best performance by any bowler in an ODI against Sri Lanka. Hardik Pandya also made significant contributions with three wickets, dismantling the Sri Lankan innings and ending their total score at a mere 50 runs – their second lowest ever in ODIs. India’s opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill displayed excellent batting skills as they scored 32 runs in just three overs. They continued to dominate throughout the chase and successfully reached the target within seven overs without losing any wickets. With this convincing victory, India won the final with a resounding ten-wicket win and had a staggering 263 balls remaining. The game was truly an unforgettable display of skill and dominance by Team India against Sri Lanka.
