What is Kabaddi?

Kabaddi is a contact team sport played between two teams of seven players on a rectangular court. The objective of the game is for a single player on offense, known as a “raider”, to run into the opposing team’s half of the court, touch as many of their players as possible without being tackled, and return to their own half of the court before their breath runs out. The raider must continuously chant “kabaddi, kabaddi, kabaddi” while on the opposing team’s side of the court. If they are tackled or fail to complete the chant before returning to their own side, the raider is out.
