Stephen Curry’s Performance Has Been Rather Disappointing

Basketball is a ferocious sport that houses some of the most amazing athletes in history. There is no doubt that the NBA is a good setting for players to showcase their skills and talents. That is why the NBA Finals is one of the most talked about events in 2023. With the onset of the finals, every single team is trying to bring their best into the game to win. Some are doing well, but others are not. Another name you can add to the list of teams which are not performing very well in the end is the Golden State Warriors.

Fans Disappointed With the Golden State Warriors

In the NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors showed great promise with their spectacular gameplay. However, that bubble soon burst when their 3-game winning streak finally ended when they played a match against the Minnesota Timberwolves. With a match score of 119-114, the Minnesota Timberwolves managed to break the winning streak of the warriors and fans are not too happy about that. But what hurts the team most is the disappointing performance of the legendary basketball star Stephen Curry. He thoroughly upset the team when it mattered the most and failed to deliver his best performance in the game.

It gave us a shock to see that during the last five overtime that the Warriors got to play, Curry only managed to score one time. During the last season which happened between 2021-2022, Curry played just two overtimes and only had 0/7. However, in the current season that is going on, the Warriors have got to play three different overtimes and, in those overtimes, Stephen Curry has just managed to bag one shot out of the six poor attempts that he made. When playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves, we could once again see how upsetting his performance was when he faltered by going 0/3 despite scoring about 29 points and claiming ten rebounds as well as three assists with a very further 5/12 right from the 3-point range.

Curry Considers Himself Responsible For His Team’s Loss

It is a relief to see that Curry considered himself responsible for the loss that his team had to go through. In recent interviews, Curry assumed the responsibility as the captain of the team. He mentioned how he was responsible for the team not being able to get the victory. He also said that the team needed to improve and learn to respond more in court. His performance that we saw during the overtime periods is the only dark spot in what could be considered an otherwise exceptional NBA season.

Due to this mistake from Curry, the Minnesota Wolves got the upper hand and completely turned the game. Taurean Prince hit the amazing three-pointer right after an offensive rebound that was given by Kyle Anderson. We also saw an amazing personal play by Anthony Edwards (brilliant with 27 points) as well as another spectacular basket just after a stark offensive rebound by Naz Reid sealed the deal. So, what does it mean for the Golden State Warriors? Stay tuned to find out more.
